Internal Spur Gears & Helicals Gears

Brad Foote Gear Works is unique in its ability to provide ground tooth internal spur and helical gearing up to 89" major diameter and a whopping 36" face width. Our capabilities:

• Shaper cut gears to 83" pitch diameter, pitches to 1.33 DP
• Internal tooth grinding from 4" to 89" major diameter

Brad Foote has positioned itself to be the premier supplier of high quality internal gears used in planetary assemblies. Our Porta tooth grinder can grind internal gears 32" to 89" major diameter, and since only the wheel arbor swivels, the 26" face capacity is not reduced when grinding internal helicals. Our Pfauter 1200 and 1600 can grind internals from 12" to 60" major diameter and the Hofler Rapid 900 can grind internals as small as 4" major diameter.

Brad Foote Gear Works designed and had built a custom internal gasher to increase throughput on large internals. The teeth are then finished on our Schiess shaper cutter.
