We own two of the four Gleason 675 bevel gear generating machines in the world. That means we have a rare ability to supply both large and small spiral bevel gears. These machines will produce curved tooth spiral bevels up to 100-inch diameters and 0.6 DP and can skive them after heat treatment if necessary. They are supplemented by two Gleason 655 curved tooth generators for gears 30 inches to 50 inches in diameter and several Gleason 16 and 26 spiral bevel generators.
Our unique curved tooth spiral bevel induction hardener can significantly increase the power capacity over through hardened gearing without the distortion created by carburizing. We developed this machine ourselves to pass an inductor through the entire tooth length, ensuring the tooth is hardened in the critical root area.
We also own several straight- and skew-tooth generators for applications that require them, and we can remove the rough stock with a CNC-controlled bevel gasher to keep the costs down.
