Milling Operator

• Ability to set up and operates a horizontal bar machine, straddle mill, jig mill, jig bore, chamfering machine and a band saw
• Ability to perform milling and boring operations on a diversity of components such as grooving, planning, and shaping metal objects on a variety of milling machines to close tolerances
• Ability to set up blocking, indication and aligning
• Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, route sheets and verbal orders
• Able to provide necessary hand tools and measuring instruments
• Able to use company provided gauging

Education / Experience

• Twelfth Grade or Equivalent Education
• At least (2) years of experience with the functions of the machines and to operate them competently and efficiently
• Able to read and understand drawings of product, and understand all written work instructions
• Able to use shop mathematics, micrometers and measuring instruments
