Lathe Operator

• Ability to set up and operates engine lathes, turret lathes or vertical boring mills
• Ability to perform complex close tolerance operations in turning, facing, boring, chamfering recessing and form turning on a wide variety of production parts
• Able to work from blueprints, sketches, route sheets and verbal orders
• Able to provide necessary hand tools, and measuring instruments
• Able to use company gauging

Education / Experience

• Twelfth Grade or Equivalent Education
• At least (3) years of experience with the functions of the machines and to operate them competently and efficiently
• Able to read and understand drawings of product, and understand all written work instructions
• Ability to use shop mathematics, micrometers, and measuring instruments
